Irene Werner's passion for craft has been evident for a number of decades. From an early age, she showed interest in craft and design. With a background in Arts and Social Anthropology, it was a natural progression for Irene to become involved in design and work with talented craftspeople.

Growing up in South Africa, Irene had great access and inroads into the craft of South Africa and various countries throughout Africa. She now lives in the UK, with her workshop running as efficiently as always in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
